Le repos Saint-François d'Assise is a non-profit organization recognized for its sound management practices, which ensure the long-term viability of the site and its facilities. Our open-minded approach and diversified services enable us to meet the individual needs of our customers, regardless of their beliefs or origins.
In keeping with our mission and values, we wish to include sustainable development in all our activities, as well as in its long-term vision.
Guiding principles
Le repos Saint-François d'Assise has adopted a Sustainable Development Policy and Action Plan. This strong commitment to the environment, society and environmentally responsible financing is based upon four guiding principles that establish the main actions to be implemented over the coming years.
A friend to the environment
Environmental protection is a core concern at Le repos Saint-François d'Assise, and we will be adopting a number of environmentally responsible practices, such as electrifying transport, reducing greenhouse gases and optimizing rainwater and waste management. Measures will also be taken to reduce heat islands and enhance biodiversity on the site.

We want to offer our employees a dynamic working environment where they can grow and develop their skills. What's more, our ecological transition can only take place with their support, which is why we'll make sure to involve them by consulting them on various subjects and offering them training in sustainable development.

Leading-edge burial and memorial practices
We aim to set ourselves apart by adopting new practices, such as the formation of a committee to reflect on burial and memorial practices, in order to offer innovative services adapted to societal trends and evolving technology. Improvements to the cemetery's eco-friendly section and the introduction of biodegradable bags for urns are also planned for the coming years.
Implementing our policy
Le repos Saint-François d'Assise is committed to sustainable development in order to actively participate in the fight against climate change and improve social and ecosystem resilience at the local level. The implementation of the action plan will be coordinated by general management with the support of the sustainable development committee and all RSFA employees.
